I don’t know how to plan a photoshoot. Can you help me?
I absolutely can! This is actually a part of the process I really love. If you have a product but no idea what it needs to look like, or a brand name/idea but nothing to tie it together visually, enquire about my creative direction services! I can help you pull everything together from overall look/feel right down to planning, set design and packing lists.
How long will I have to wait to receive my images?
I do my best to keep my turnaround time to a minimum, and I’ll communicate my current wait times with you. If you have a need for specific files on a particular date it’s really important to let me know so that we can build this in to planning - I do have the ability to do urgent turnarounds at an extra fee.
How many final images will I receive?
This is the “how long is a piece of string?” question - it really depends! Some of the factors are things like how many products we have to shoot, how much variation we achieve during the shoot, how long we shoot for. I am going to do my best to give you a wide selection of files where possible, but quality over quantity is also really important. It’s like a balancing act, but I’ll guide you on this throughout the process. There may be situations where I can provide options to achieve more variations, or we may decide we want to focus on a tight selection of really ‘perfect’ shots.
I never know what to do with my hands in photos. Will you help me with posing?
Absolutely! Don’t worry about knowing what to do during your portrait shoot - I have many years of experience guiding people on set. I actually get awkward when being photographed myself, so I completely understand these nerves!
How many outfits should I plan to bring?
I always recommend bringing a couple more than you need, just in case something doesn’t look/feel right on the day. In basic portrait shoots we will likely get through 2-3 looks, and if you’re going for a bigger shoot we can increase that number as well.
